Vocabulary of the Greek NT
For this form ( = ἄλλοσε or ἀλλαχόσε ), which is found in the NT only in Mark 1:38, cf. Syll 418.38 (iii/A.D.) ἀλλαχοῦ πεμπόμενοι . In P Lips I. 104.29 (i/ii A.D.) Wilcken (Archiv iv. p. 484) proposes now to read εἰ καὶ ἐφ᾽ ἀλλαχῇ βαδίζετε , where ἀλλαχῇ is treated like an adjective ( = ἄλλῃ ) with ὁδῷ supplied. If the reading is accepted, we should place it with ἐκ τότε , ἀπὸ πέρυσι , etc.
