The adj. is common especially along with ἐπιτήδειος to denote a person ";rich and capable"; of undertaking some duty laid upon him, as in P Oxy IX. 1187.11 (A.D. 254) ὃν ἐὰν αἱρῶνται φύλαρχον ὄ [ν ]τα εὔπορον καὶ ἐπιτήδειον, P Cairo Preis 18.9 (A.D. 339) ὄντ ̣[α ]ς ̣ εὐπόρους κ ̣[αὶ ] ̣πιτηδίους δυναμένους ἐκτελέσαι τὴν τὴν (om.) ̣νχειρισθεῖσαν ̣ αὐτ [οῖς ] λε ̣ιτουργείαν, al.
