P Petr II. 1.4 (c. B.C. 260) μετὰ δακρύων , which Mayser, Gr. p. 268, notes must not be assigned to δάκρυ , despite the heteroclite δάκρυσιν in NT. BGU IV. 1141.27 f. (c. B.C. 14) οἵαν γὰρ ὕβριν μοι πεπόηκεν ἐν τῷ κήπῳ κ ̣α ̣ι ̣̣ ἐ ̣ν ̣ τῇ οἰκίᾳ . . .., ἠ ἦν δάκρυα σοὶ γράφειν , γεγραφήκειν ἂν ἀπ ̣ο ̣̣ τῶν δακρύων , ";wenn Thränen ein Brief wären"; (Ed.).
