Addition suspending the Conclusion, by way of Reasoning

Sus-ten-ta´-ti-ô: i.e., suspension. The figure is used when additions to the argument are made by which the conclusion is kept in suspense.

It is called also CREMAN from κρεμάννυμι (kre-man-nu´-mi), to hang up, suspend.

Also EXARTESIS (ἐξάρτησις), ex-ar-tee´-sis, a hanging from, connection of parts with one another, from ἐξαρτάω (exartaô), to hang upon, suspend.
