Pure

εἰλικρινής, καθαρός, ἀμίαντος.

εἰλικρινής denotes chiefly that which is pure as being sincere, free from foreign admixture. καθαρός is that which is pure as being clean, free from soil or stain. The meaning of both in the N.T. is distinctly ethical. ἀμίαντος is unspotted, describing that which is far removed from every kind of contamination.
