Berean Study Bible
The side rooms ... surrounding the temple widened at each successive level ... ..., ... because the structure surrounding ... the temple ascended by stages corresponding to ... the narrowing of the temple wall ... as it rose upward. And so a stairway went up from the lowest story to the highest, through the middle one.
English Standard Version
And it became broader as it wound upward to the side chambers because the temple was enclosed upward all around the temple Thus the temple had a broad area upward and so one went up from the lowest story to the top story through the middle story
Holman Christian Standard Version
The side rooms surrounding the temple widened at each successive story, for the structure surrounding the temple went up by stages. This was the reason for the temple's broadness as it rose. And so, one would go up from the lowest story to the highest by means of the middle one.
King James Version
And there was an enlarging (8804), and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.
Lexham English Bible
And each level widened, and it went around upward⌋⌊upward⌋⌊all the way around⌋the width increased to the temple upward⌋levellevel by means of
New American Standard Version
The side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story. Because the structure surrounding the temple went upward by stages on all sides of the temple, therefore the width of the temple {increased} as it went higher; and thus one went up from the lowest {story} to the highest by way of the second {story.}
World English Bible
The side rooms were broader as they encompassed the house higher and higher; for the encompassing of the house went higher and higher around the house: therefore the breadth of the house continued upward; and so one went up from the lowest room to the highest by the middle room.
