καὶ ἐδεήθην ἐναντίον κυρίου δεύτερον καθάπερ καὶ τὸ πρότερον τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας. — ἄρτον οὐκ ἔφαγον καὶ ὕδωρ οὐκ ἔπιον. — περὶ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ὑμῶν, ὧν ἡμάρτετε ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν παροξῦναι αὐτόν.

Then I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, as I had done the first time. I did not eat bread or drink water ... because of all the sin - you had committed in doing what was evil in the LORD''s sight and provoking Him to anger.
English Standard Version
Then I lay prostrate before the Lord as before forty days and forty nights I neither ate bread nor drank water because of all the sin that you had committed in doing what was evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke him to anger
Holman Christian Standard Version
Then I fell down like the first time in the presence of the Lord for 40 days and 40 nights; I did not eat bread or drink water because of all the sin you committed, doing what was evil in the Lord's sight and provoking Him to anger.

And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned (8804), in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger (8687).
