Berean Study Bible
After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to seal the agreement. But his daughter will not retain her position of power ..., nor will his strength endure. At that time she will be given up, along with her royal escort and her father and the one who supported her.
English Standard Version
After some years they shall make an alliance and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement But she shall not retain the strength of her arm and he and his arm shall not endure but she shall be given up and her attendants he who fathered her and he who supported her in those times
Holman Christian Standard Version
After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to seal the agreement. She will not retain power, and his strength will not endure. She will be given up, together with her entourage, her father, and the one who supported her during those times.
King James Version
And in the end of years they shall join themselves together (8691); for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand (8799), nor his arm: but she shall be given up (8735), and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
Lexham English Bible
And at the end of some years they will make an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a peace treaty, but she will not retain her position of power
New American Standard Version
"After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will come to the king of the North to carry out a peaceful arrangement. But she will not retain her position of power, nor will he remain with his power, but she will be given up, along with those who brought her in and the one who sired her as well as he who supported her in {those} times.
World English Bible
At the end of years they shall join themselves together; and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the strength of her arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm; but she shall be given up, and those who brought her, and he who became the father of her, and he who strengthened her in those times.
