And over the people who remained in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left he appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam son of Shaphan governor

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, over the rest of the people he left in the land of Judah.

And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left (8689), even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler (8686).
