Preacher and actuary of the rabbinate of Prague under Ephraim Solomon of Lencziza in the second half of the sixteenth century. He was the author of the following works: "Perush al ha-Masoret," a supplement to Elijah Levita's Masoretic explanations (Prague, 1610); "Seder Nashim," on the three chief commandments concerning women—"niddah," "ḥallah," and "deliḳah"—written in Judæo-German (ib. 1629); "Ba-Ḥeshbon," a multiplication table (ib. n.d.); "Som Sekel," a work on the Masorah (Cracow, after 1629); "Haggahot li-Sheḥiṭot u-Bediḳot," additions to Jacob Weil's rules for slaughtering (Prague, 1668).
