Spanish-Arabic poet; flourished in Seville in the first half of the fourteenth century. He was the author of an Arabic poem of didactic character, entitled "Al-Sab'aniyyah" (Neubauer, "Cat. Bodl. Hebr. MSS." No. 2095, 4). This poem was later translated into Hebrew, under the title "Batte ha-Nefesh," by Solomon da Piera; and both the original and the translation were published by Hirschfeld in the "Annual Report of the Montefiore College," 1893-94.
