Liturgical poet of the latter part of the twelfth century; perhaps the Moses ben Joseph who aided the oppressed Jews in the Rhenish provinces in 1196. He wrote a seliḥah entitled "Arba'ah Abot Neziḳin," in which the four monarchies which oppressed Israel are represented under the figures of four animals—the bear, the lion, the panther, and the swine.
