English journalist and playwright; born 1858. For many years he was dramatic critic on the "Referee" and other London papers. He is the author of: "Travellers' Tales" (1892); "Man and Beast" (with preface by I. Zangwill; 1893); "Miss Impudence," a one-act comedy produced at Terry's Theatre, London, in 1892; and the book of "San Toy, or the Emperor's Own," played at Daly's London and New York theaters in 1899.
