Italian rabbi of the seventeenth century; died in 1670. He was the only rabbi at Padua who survived the plague of 1631, which decimated the community. His wisdom and his eloquence contributed much to the restoration of order. He wrote a commentary to Isaiah entitled "Tiḳḳun 'Olam" (Verona, 1652). He was renowned as a scholar, teacher, and pastor, and among his pupils was the physician and rabbi Isaac Ḥayyim Cantarini. His brother, Shabbethai b. Isaac Marini (d. 1685), was a physician.
