German poet and writer; brother of Julius Kossarski; born 1810 at Bromberg; died Nov. 3, 1873, at Berlin. He studied medicine at Berlin, but soon devoted himself entirely to German literature, becoming a contributor to several periodicals and journals. He published poems and stories, including: "Nachklänge" (1834); "Dämmerungen, Novellen" (1840); "Friedrich Wilhelm III.: Skizzen aus Seinem Leben in Poesie und Prosa" (1840); "Hier und Dort" (1855).
