Cabalist; lived at Salonica at the end of the sixteenth and at the beginning of the seventeenth century. Although blind, he devoted himself to cabalistic studies, and published the "Sefer Gerushim" of Moses Cordovero (Venice, 1600) and the "Sodot" of Joseph Gikatilla. David also published a work entitled "Liḳḳuṭe Shoshannim" (Collections of Lilies), containing explanations of Biblical passages from the works of Jacob Berab, MeÏr 'Aramah, Obadiah Sforno, Isaac Gershon, and Samuel Almosnino (Venice, 1602).
