Bornstein, Arthur

German author; born at Breslau March 23, 1867; studied at Breslau, Berlin, and Bern; and passed the state examination in Berlin in 1888. He adopted the profession of dental surgery, but devoted himself as well to literature. A volume of his short stories was published under the title "Klippen," at Berlin in 1894. In the following year appeared his drama, "Der Theaterarzt." He has since published a number of short stories, humorous sketches, learned articles, and poems. His "Vergnügte Geschichten" was published in 1900 (Hinrichs, "Bücher-Verzeichnis"). He is a member of the Deutsche Schriftsteller-Genossenschaft.
