Palesti'na. (land of strangers). (Hebrew, Pelesheth). Exodus 15:14; Isaiah 14:29; Joel 3:4; in Psalms 60:8, Philistia, which was a synonymous term at one time). Palestina and Palestine, in the Scripture, means Philistia, only. See Palestine.
