Shot

(imp. & p. p.) of Shoot

(n.) A single draft or catch of fish made.

(n.) A guess; conjecture; also, an attempt.

(n.) A stroke or propulsive action in certain games, as in billiards, hockey, curling, etc.; also, a move, as in chess.
