(v. i.) Bright; clear; pure; unmixed.

(v. i.) Very thin or transparent; - applied to fabrics; as, sheer muslin.

(v. i.) Being only what it seems to be; obvious; simple; mere; downright; as, sheer folly; sheer nonsense.
