A non-party organization founded in London, England, by Gabrielle Jeffery and May Kendall in 1911 "to band together Catholics of both sexes, in order to secure for women the Parliamentary Vote on the same terms as it is, or may be, granted to men." When partial enfranchisement for British women was won in 1918, the object was extended "to secure the political, social, and economic quality between men and women, and to further the work and usefulness of Catholic women as citizens." It was affiliated to the International Woman Suffrage Alliance in 1920. Its organ was The Catholic Citizen, published monthly.
