A sanctuary famous since the time of Saint Patrick and located on Station Island, Lough Derg, Donegal, Ireland. It was under the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine in the Middle Ages, then under the Franciscans, and now is governed by secular priests. The church of Saint Patrick was built in 1780. About 3000 pilgrims annually take part in the severe penitential exercises.
