Catholic physicist. Born 1845; died 1924. A prolific inventor, holding over 150 patents protecting his appliances in the coincident telegraphing of six messages over the same wire, anti-induction cables, talking-machines, and the locating of certain metallic bodies, such as gold, submerged in the ocean.
