(1803-1857) Prince of Canino and Musignano Ornithologist, born Paris; died there. The son of Lucien Bonaparte, he went to the United States, where he devoted himself to natural science and completed Wilson's "American Ornithology." Returning to Rome, 1828, he published his "Iconography of American Fauna," 1834-1841.
