(Dutch: Bosjesman-nen) A people found in Great Namaqualand, South Africa, kindred to the Hottentots. They are of diminutive stature with yellow skin and slanting eyes. There is no tribal organization. Their religion is animistic. A native aesthetic sense is indicated by a curious folklore. The missionaries of the Orange River Prefecture Apostolic have brought some of them under Christian influence.
