A list of martyrs and confessors who died for Christ or for some Christian virtue, within the present limits of the United States of America, compiled by F. Holweck. The term "martyrology" is to be taken in its wider sense, as meaning a list of servants of God, and does not signify that everyone in this list died for the faith.
