Father of Anak, head of the Anakim, who were also giants. Numbers 13:33 . Their city was Hebron. Genesis 35:27; Joshua 14:15; Joshua 15:13; Joshua 21:11 . The 'city of Arba' is elsewhere called KIRJATH-ARBA,which was afterwards called HEBRON.
