It was taken by Tiglath-pileser iii. ( 2 Kings 15:29 ). 2. A town in the Negeb of Judah ( Joshua 15:23 ), unidentified. 3. A town also in the Negeh ( Joshua 15:25 ), identical with Kerioth-hezron . 4. A place in Benjamin, N. of Jerusalem ( Nehemiah 11:33 ), probably Khirbet Hazzûr , between Beit Haninah and Neby Samwîl . 5. The kingdoms of Hazor, named with Kedar ( Jeremiah 49:28 etc.), an Arabian district, possibly on the border of the desert.
