1. 2 Samuel 8:3; 2 Samuel 8:12. Josephus (Ant. 7:5, section 1) calls him Araos, and makes Rehob mean "charioteer." A Syrian name. (See BETHREHOB.) (2 Samuel 10:6; 2 Samuel 10:8).
