Comments: Gold stemmed goblet with one handle. Mycenaean artwork, ca. 1500 BC (Late Helladic II). Unknown provenance, contemporary with the Shaft Graves at Mycenae.

Comments: Hammered gold goblet with two cast handles ending in naturalistic dogs' heads, depicted bidding the vessel's rim. The 'Acropolis Treasure' from Mycenae comprises a hoard of precious grave gifts looted from tombs and hidden in antiquity. It was recovered from outside the enclosure of Grave Circle A in 1876. These objects date to the end of the 15th century B.C.
From Easton: a laver or trough for washing garments. In Song of Solomon 7:2, a bowl or drinking vessel, a bowl for mixing wine; in Exodus 24:6, a sacrificial basin. (See CUP)
