Jotam foi pelo general um bom rei (27.6), entretanto seu povo se corrompeu. Não sempre aqueles a quem guie seguirão seu exemplo, entretanto isso não deve afetar a forma em que viva para Deus. Esta maldade do reino do Jotam se ilustra vividamente no Isaías 1-5.
