Psalms 5:6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
Psalms 5:6 Word Study on “leasing” Webster says the English word “leasing” means, “Or, “the act of lying, falsehood, a lie.”
Psalms 5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
Psalms 5:9 Word Study on “faithfulness” Webster gives the following synonyms for “faithfulness” as “ Trusty; honest; upright; sincere; veracious; trustworthy .”
Psalms 5:9 “their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue” - Comments - Paul quotes from Psalms 5:9 when he concludes that both Jews and Gentiles are under sin (Romans 3:13). The rest of Romans 3:13 comes from Psalms 140:3.
Romans 3:13, “ Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit ; the poison of asps is under their lips:”
Psalms 140:3, “They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips . Selah.”
