Author's Biography
Dr. Manford George Gutzke, (1913-1993), was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ, renowned for his clear and practical exposition of biblical truth. Raised in rural Manitoba, Canada, he initially grappled with agnostic skepticism before embracing Christianity through personal study and dialogue with a devout farmer.
Gutzke's journey took him from teaching to legal studies, but a profound call to ministry redirected his path. A graduate of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, he pursued further education, earning a Master of Science in psychology from S.M.U. and a Doctor of Divinity from Austin College. Subsequently, he obtained a Ph.D. from Teacher's College, Columbia University.
Ordained in the Presbyterian Church, U.S., Gutzke served as a professor at Columbia Theological Seminary, where his teaching left an indelible mark on generations of students. Upon retirement, he dedicated himself fully to preaching and teaching the Word of God, exemplifying a profound commitment to biblical truth and spiritual growth.
