1:11 away (a-14) In those days conquerors transported conquered nations to distant seats, and replaced them by others, that national feeling might not subsist, but dependence be complete. 'Carrying away' is feeble for this, but I know no other word.

Verse 12

26:12 burying. (b-16) Or 'embalmment.' see Note to John 12:7 .

Verse 15

26:15 appointed (c-20) Or 'weighed.' pieces (d-24) See Zechariah 11:12 .

Verse 18

26:18 keep (e-25) Or 'I keep.' present tense. house (f-30) Lit. 'by thee.'

26:24 he (a-35) Lit. 'good for him if that man.'

26:69 palace-court; (h-7) The word is used both for the palace, as a whole, and the court round which the buildings were.
