Verse 4

24:4 defiled; (a-21) Or 'been made to defile herself.'

Verse 5

24:5 taken (b-6) Lit. 'hath taken a new.'

Verse 6

24:6 upper (c-9) i.e. the mobile stone; the lower part was fixed.

Verse 7

24:7 one (d-9) Lit. 'a soul.'

Verse 14

24:14 poor (e-10) Or 'afflicted,' as ch. 15.11. sojourners (f-19) Or 'strangers.'

Verse 15

24:15 poor, (e-21) Or 'afflicted,' as ch. 15.11. it; (g-27) Lit. 'he lifteth his soul to it.' in (h-40) Or 'there be sin upon.'
