EPIC: High-Impact Truths in the New Testament – Part 14
November 4, 2024
I told my brother to "deny himself" and "take up his cross" and be part of the family more. Was I in the wrong? Are we with God immediately when we die or do we need to wait? Why does Paul talk about the "foolishness" and "weakness" of God in 1 Corinthians 1?

EPIC: High-Impact Truths in the New Testament – Part 14
November 3, 2024
If you've ever felt like you're on a treadmill trying to please God, Hebrews 6 and 8 declare a radical shift. Jesus, our forerunner, has entered the inner sanctuary on our behalf, redefining our access to God. It's no longer about striving; it's about intimacy and closeness with Him. The old covenant's limitations are history, replaced by a new covenant where God writes His laws on our hearts. This isn't about external rules but an internal transformation. And here's the game-changer: God remembers your sins no more. Total forgiveness reshapes how you view your past, yourself, and your relationship with God. Ready to explore these liberating truths? Click through to watch the full message and discover the freedom, security, and peace that come with the new covenant! Discussion Questions for Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 8: 1. Read Hebrews 6:13-15. What does it mean to you that God swore by Himself to fulfill His promise to Abraham? How does this show God's commitment to us under the new covenant? 2. Read Hebrews 6:16-19. How is God's unchanging promise an "anchor for the soul" in your life? In what ways can this truth give you security and peace in your relationship with Him? 3. Read Hebrews 6:19-20. How does Jesus, as our "forerunner," entering the inner sanctuary on our behalf, change your understanding of access to God? What does this mean for your closeness to Jesus? 4. Read Hebrews 8:7-9. What were the limitations of the old covenant, and how have you experienced these limitations in your own attempts to please God through effort? How does the new covenant free you from this? 5. Read Hebrews 8:10-12. God promises to "write His laws on our hearts" under the new covenant. What are these "laws"? How does this internal transformation differ from external rules? 6. Read Hebrews 8:12. God declares, "I will remember their sins no more." How does this truth of total forgiveness change the way you see your past, yourself, and your relationship with God?

All things are permissible"?
November 2, 2024
Why does Paul say "all things are permissible, but not all things are profitable"? What does it mean to be unequally yoked? Why is that such a big deal? How exactly are we saved? Can we lose it? How do I break strongholds when it comes to addiction? Are we allowed to sell things in churches? My family life is filled with verbal abuse. What can I do? *previously aired

Saved through childbearing"?
November 1, 2024
What does the Parable of the Talents really mean? Did Jesus go to Hell and preach for three days? How are women "saved through childbearing"? What does that even mean? How many times will Christ return? Do Christians really have to struggle to "know God"?

Christ lives IN you?

What can we take away from Jacob wrestling with God? How can I share my faith in Jesus when some have been abused by those who use His name? My brother argues with me about my beliefs. How can I better communicate with him? Are we already sanctified, or is it a process, or both? Jesus said some are experts in Scripture yet don't know Him. Can you talk about this?

What's a healthy perspective on politics?
October 30, 2024
Why do Christians get so angry about politics? Should we just avoid politics altogether? What's a healthy perspective? "Many are called, but few are chosen"? What does that mean? How can we "be anxious for nothing"? Why would God create people who reject Him?

Should we strive to be like Jesus? How do identity and behavior play out together? Does God harden people's hearts today? What does it mean to enter God's "Sabbath rest"?

We store up treasures in Heaven?

I have a lot of stress in my life. I'm learning to trust God. What does it mean to be "anxious for nothing"? How do we store up treasures in Heaven? What did Jesus mean? To what degree did Jesus really experience human temptation and struggle? How do we balance needing "no one to teach" us because of the Holy Spirit, but then appreciate the body of Christ and its diversity of gifts?
