They had almost consumed me on earth; But I did not forsake your precepts.

The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; [But] I will consider your testimonies.

I have seen an end of all perfection; [But] your commandment is exceeding broad.

SAMEK I hate those that are of a double mind; But I love your law.

SHIN Princes have persecuted me without a cause; But my heart stands in awe of your words.

I hate and am disgusted by falsehood; [But] I love your law.

I am [for] peace: But when I speak, they are for war.

A Song of Ascents. Those that trust in Yahweh Are as mount Zion, which can't be moved, but abides forever.

But as for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel.

A Song of Ascents; of Solomon. If Yahweh does not build the house, They labor in vain that build it: If Yahweh does not keep the city, The watchman wakes but in vain.

But there is forgiveness with you, That you may be feared.

His enemies I will clothe with shame; But on himself shall his crown flourish.

They have mouths, but they don't speak; They have eyes, but they don't see;

They have ears, but they don't hear; Neither is there any breath in their mouths.

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea; For his loving-kindness [endures] forever:

For though Yahweh is high, yet he has respect to the lowly; But the haughty he knows from afar.

For there is not a word in my tongue, But, look, O Yahweh, you know it altogether.

Even the darkness does not hide from you, But the night shines as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike [to you].

Yahweh preserves all those that love him; But all the wicked he will destroy.

Yahweh preserves the sojourners; He upholds the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
