But my loving-kindness I will not completely take from him, Nor allow my faithfulness to fail.

But you have cast off and rejected, You have been angry with your anointed.

For a thousand years in your sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, And as a watch in the night.

The days of our years are seventy years, Or even by reason of strength eighty years; Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow; For it is soon gone, and we fly away.

A thousand shall fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; [But] it shall not come near you.

But you, O Yahweh, are on high for evermore.

But my horn you have exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

But Yahweh has been my high tower, And my God the rock of my refuge.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols; But Yahweh made the heavens.

But you, O Yahweh, will abide forever; And your memorial [name] to all generations.

They shall perish, but you shall endure; Yes, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture you shall change them, and they shall be changed:

But you are the same, And your years shall have no end.

But the loving-kindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those that fear him, And his righteousness to sons of sons;

When they were but a few men in number, Yes, very few, and sojourners in it.

Our fathers did not understand your wonders in Egypt; They did not remember the multitude of your loving-kindnesses, But were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.

And he gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.

But murmured in their tents, And did not listen to the voice of Yahweh.

But mingled themselves with the nations, And learned their works,

Many times he delivered them; But they were rebellious in their counsel, And were brought low in their iniquity.
