Be careful how you ride. Don't ride like fools, but like top hands.

Stay away from the whiskey. You think you can control it, but it's the other way around. Instead, let the Holy Ghost guide your every waking moment.

No one should hate their own body, but feed it good food and care for it, just like Jesus does for his outfit.

This is hard to understand, but it's another way of saying Jesus and his outfit are one.

Bosses, treat your slaves in the same manner. Don't threaten 'em. You may be the boss, but you and your slave serve the same master in heaven. Remember, he doesn't play favorites.

We ain't fighting a battle against men, but evil in all its forms and places.

Put on every piece of God's get-up so you will be kept safe. After the battle, you may be bloody, but you will still be standing.

I'm locked up in chains right now, but I'm still spreading the word. Pray that I will continue to live courageously for Christ.

Now, it is true that some want fame and glory for preaching, but just because there are a few like that, it doesn't mean they all are.

But that doesn't matter! The only thing that matters is that Jesus Christ is preached. It doesn't matter if a person's motives are true or false. If Jesus is preached, that's all that matters. This fact gives me peace and a smile on my face.And there ain't no one who can keep the smile off my face.

To me, living means I get to keep riding for Jesus, but dying means I get to go be with him . . . and that is even better.

But honestly, it'd be better for all of y'all if I were to remain here and help y'all out in any way I can.

To cowboy for God, you've got to understand you've been called to believe in him, but also suffer for him.

We are all in this together. Y'all have seen how much I have struggled, but I'm still in the saddle.

Most people only ride for themselves, but Timothy rides for the Lord.

But while we wait on all that, I am going to send Epaphroditus back your way. This man is my brother, pard, and fellow cowboy and has taken care of me like you asked him to.

Welcome him back with the love of God and throw him a party. Cowboys like him don't do what they do for recognition, but he deserves the honor for what he has done.

True circumcision comes from worshiping God in the Spirit. That means relying on what Jesus did instead of what we can do. We have no confidence in ourselves, but all the confidence in the world in God.

Now, I ain't put a loop on all of this yet. For some of it I haven't even taken down my rope, but I'm already tied on and I've got my eye on Jesus just like he had his eye on me.

Listen cowboys, it's not that I don't ever miss a shot, but I'm going to be ready when Jesus calls my name. How do I get ready? I forget about all the misses I've made in the past and I focus on the next shot.
