but to sit at my right hand or at [my] left hand is not mine to give; but [it is for them] for whom it has been prepared.

For the Son of man also didn't come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

And seeing a fig tree far off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it wasn't the season of figs.

And he taught, and said to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but you have made it a den of robbers.

And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, for all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.

Therefore I say to you, All things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

But should we say, From men-they feared the people: for all truly held John to be a prophet.

And he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a pit for the wine press, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.

And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them: and they left him, and went away.

And when they had come, they say to him, Teacher, we know that you are true, and do not care about [what] anyone [thinks]; for you do not regard the person of men, but of a truth teach the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? Shall we give, or shall we not give?

In the resurrection, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her as wife.

Jesus said to them, Is it not for this cause that you err, that you don't know the scriptures, nor the power of God?

For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.

those that devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers; these shall receive greater condemnation.

for they all cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there shall be earthquakes in diverse places; there shall be famines: these things are the beginning of travail.

But you take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to Sanhedrins; and in synagogues you shall be beaten; and before governors and kings you shall stand for my sake, for a testimony to them.

And when they lead you [to judgment], and deliver you up, don't be anxious beforehand what you shall speak: but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak; for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved.

For those days shall be tribulation, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never shall be.
