And except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he chose, he shortened the days.

for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the elect.

Take you heed, watch and pray: for you don't know when the time is.

And the multitude went up and began to ask him [to do] as he usually did for them.

For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.

there came Joseph of Arimathaea, a councilor of honorable estate, who also himself was looking for the kingdom of God; and he boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.

and looking up, they see that the stone has been rolled back: for it was exceeding great.
