But you abide in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them.

For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own desires;

But be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your service.

from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all those that have loved his appearing.

But Tychicus I sent to Ephesus.

At my first defense no one took my part, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their account.

But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Erastus remained at Corinth: but Trophimus I left at Miletus sick.

but in his own seasons manifested his word in the message, with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior;

but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled;

To the pure all things are pure: but to those that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being disgusting, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.

But you speak the things which befit the sound doctrine:

not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

But when the kindness of God our Savior, and his love toward man, appeared,

not by works [done] in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

but shun foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable both to you and to me:

but without your mind I would do nothing; that your goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will.

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a brother beloved, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
