But to those that rebuke [him] shall be delight, And a good blessing shall come on them.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

He that hates dissembles with his lips; But he lays up deceit inside him:

A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; But a fool's vexation is heavier than both of them.

Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; But who is able to stand before jealousy?

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

The full soul loathes a honeycomb; But to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

A prudent man sees the evil, [and] hides himself; [But] the simple pass on, [and] suffer for it.

The wicked flee when no man pursues; But the righteous are bold as a lion.

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; But by [a] man of understanding [and] knowledge the state [thereof] shall be prolonged.

Those that forsake the law praise the wicked; But such as keep the law contend with them.

Evil men don't understand justice; But those that seek Yahweh understand all things.

Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shames his father.

Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, He shall fall into his own pit; But the perfect shall inherit good.

The rich man is wise in his own eyes; But the poor that has understanding searches him out.

When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; But when the wicked rise, man will hide.

He that covers his transgressions shall not prosper: But whoever confesses and forsakes them shall obtain mercy.

Happy is [the] man that fears always; But he that hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.

The leader that lacks understanding is also a great oppressor; [But] he that hates covetousness shall prolong his days.

Whoever walks uprightly shall be delivered; But he that is perverse in [his] ways shall fall at once.
