The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;But they who inquire of Yahweh shall not be in want of any good thing.

Many are the evils against the righteous,But Yahweh delivers him out of them all.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth;I humbled my soul with fasting,And my prayer kept returning to my bosom.

But at my stumbling they were glad and gathered themselves together;The smiters whom I did not know gathered together against me,They tore at me and never were silent.

For they do not speak peace,But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

For evildoers will be cut off,But those who hope for Yahweh, they will inherit the land.

But the lowly will inherit the landAnd will delight themselves in abundant peace.

For the arms of the wicked will be broken,But Yahweh sustains the righteous.

But the wicked will perish;And the enemies of Yahweh will be like the glory of the pastures,They vanish—in smoke they vanish away.

The wicked borrows and does not pay back,But the righteous is gracious and gives.

For those blessed by Him will inherit the land,But those cursed by Him will be cut off.

For Yahweh loves justiceAnd will not forsake His holy ones;They are kept forever,But the seed of the wicked will be cut off.

Then he passed away, and behold, he was no more;I sought for him, but he could not be found.

But transgressors will be altogether destroyed;The posterity of the wicked will be cut off.

But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh;He is their strength in time of distress.

But I, like a deaf man, do not hear;And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth.

But my enemies are vigorous and strong,And those who wrongfully hate me abound.

Many, O Yahweh my God, are the wondrous deeds You have done,And Your thoughts toward us;There is none to compare with You.I would declare and speak of them,But they are too numerous to recount.

But You, O Yahweh, be gracious to me and raise me up,That I may repay them.

For by their own sword they did not possess the land,And their own arm did not save them,But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,For You favored them.
