Yahweh tests the righteous,But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness;My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted,But Yahweh is his refuge.

In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,But who honors those who fear Yahweh;He swears to his own hurt and does not change;

They confronted me in the day of my disaster,But Yahweh was my support.

For You save an afflicted people,But eyes which are lifted up, You bring down.

For who is God, but Yahweh?And who is a rock, except our God,

They cried for help, but there was none to save,Even to Yahweh, but He did not answer them.

Some boast in chariots and some in horses,But we will boast in the name of Yahweh, our God.

They have bowed down and fallen,But we have risen and stood upright.

O my God, I call by day, but You do not answer;And by night, but I have no rest.

But I am a worm and not a man,A reproach of men and despised by the people.

But You, O Yahweh, be not far off;O my Strength, hasten to my help.

For He has not despised and He has not abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;And He has not hidden His face from him;But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.

But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity;Redeem me, and be gracious to me.

For my father and my mother have forsaken me,But Yahweh will take me up.

For His anger is but for a moment,His favor is for a lifetime;Weeping may last for the night,But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

I hate those who regard worthless idols,But I trust in Yahweh.

But as for me, I trust in You, O Yahweh,I say, "You are my God."

Many are the sorrows of the wicked,But he who trusts in Yahweh, lovingkindness shall surround him.
