Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

In that day you shall ask in my name: and I don't say to you, that I will pray the Father for you;

for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

for the words which you gave me I have given to them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from you, and they believed that you sent me.

I pray for them: I don't pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me; for they are yours:

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

Father, [about] what you have given me, I desire that where I am those also may be with me, that they may see my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

and led him to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

Now Caiaphas was he that gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Now the slaves and the attendants were standing [there], having made a fire of coals; for it was cold; and they were warming themselves: and Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.
