When therefore the chief priests and the attendants saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify [him], crucify [him]! Pilate says to them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him.

and he went out, bearing the cross for himself, to the place called The place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha:

This title therefore read many of the Jews, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near to the city; and it was written in Hebrew, [and] in Latin, [and] in Greek.

They said therefore one to another, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my garments among them, And on my vesture they cast lots.

The Jews therefore, because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for the day of that Sabbath was a high [day]), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away.

For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

And after these things Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took away his body.

There then because of the Jews' Preparation (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid Jesus.

For as yet they didn't know the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

Jesus says to her, Do not touch me; for I have not yet ascended to the Father: but go to my brothers, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first [day] of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace [be] to you.

And he said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fish.

That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girded his coat about him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea.

But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits off), dragging the net [full] of fish.

Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, a hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, the net was not rent.

and, being assembled together with them, he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, [he said], you heard from me:

For John indeed baptized in water; but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

And he said to them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father has set in his own authority.

For he was numbered among us, and received his portion in this service.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, "Let his habitation be made desolate, And let no man dwell therein." And, "His office of oversight let another take."
