But Gedalyahu the son of Achikam said to Yochanan the son of Kareach, You shall not do this thing; for you speak falsely of Yishma'el.

But ten men were found among those who said to Yishma'el, Don't kill us; for we have stores hidden in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he stopped, and didn't kill them among their brothers.

But when Yochanan the son of Kareach, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, heard of all the evil that Yishma'el the son of Netanyah had done,

But Yishma'el the son of Netanyah escaped from Yochanan with eight men, and went to the children of `Ammon.

and said to Yirmeyahu the prophet, Let, we pray you, our supplication be presented before you, and pray for us to the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do see us:

But if you say, We will not dwell in this land; so that you don't obey the voice of the LORD your God,

saying, No; but we will go into the land of Mitzrayim, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the shofar, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:

and I have this day declared it to you; but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God in anything for which he has sent me to you.

but Barukh the son of Neriyah sets you on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Kasdim, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captive to Bavel.

But Yochanan the son of Kareach, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Yehudah, who were returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to sojourn in the land of Yehudah;

But they didn't listen, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.

But we will certainly perform every word that is gone forth out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink-offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Yehudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim; for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

But since we left off burning incense to the queen of the sky, and pouring out drink-offerings to her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Seek you great things for yourself? Don't seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh, says the LORD; but your life will I give to you for a prey in all places where you go.

They cried there, Par`oh king of Mitzrayim is but a noise; he has let the appointed time pass by.

Mitzrayim is a very beautiful heifer; [but] destruction out of the north is come, it is come.

But don't be afraid you, Ya`akov my servant, neither be dismayed, Yisra'el: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Ya`akov shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Don't be afraid you, O Ya`akov my servant, says the LORD; for I am with you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the children of `Ammon, says the LORD.

But I have made Esav bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is destroyed, and his brothers, and his neighbors; and he is no more.
