But as for me, in Thy mercy do I trust; my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation. {P}

Ye would put to shame the counsel of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.

In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he honoureth them that fear the LORD;

I have said unto the LORD: 'Thou art my Lord; I have no good but in Thee';

They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.

For Thou dost save the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes Thou dost humble.

They cried, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.

They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD; let the King answer us in the day that we call.

O my God, I call by day, but Thou answerest not; and at night, and there is no surcease for me.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

But Thou, O LORD, be not far off; O Thou my strength, hasten to help me.

But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity; redeem me, and be gracious unto me.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for a life-time;

I hate them that regard lying vanities; but I trust in the LORD.

But as for me, I have trusted in Thee, O LORD; I have said: 'Thou art my God.'

Many are the sorrows of the wicked; but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy compasseth him about.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the LORD want not any good thing.

Many are the ills of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I afflicted my soul with fasting;

But when I halt they rejoice, and gather themselves together; {N}they tear me, and cease not;
