But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.

And the sons of Eliezer were: Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only: and their brothers the sons of Kish took them [as wife].

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no sons: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

But David did not take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Yahweh had said he would increase Israel like the stars of heaven.

Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but didn't finish; and there came wrath for this on Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.

But God said to me, You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.

And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

And David the king said to all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of your own we have given you.

But the ark of God David had brought up from Kiriath-jearim to [the place] that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you haven't asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those that hate you, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:

But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?

He also made ten basins, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them; such things as belonged to the burnt-offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day.

But I have built you a house of habitation, and a place for you to dwell in forever.

but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

But Yahweh said to David my father, Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart:

nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son that shall come forth out of your loins, he shall build the house for my name.

But will God in very deed dwell with man on the earth? look, heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain you; how much less this house which I have built!
